Albert, Adrian or Prince? Would you rather have Pujols, Gonzalez or Fielder?

Albert Pujols, Reggie Jackson and Babe Ruth. After tonight, those are the only three human beings to hit three home runs in a single World Series game. Pujols finished the game with 5 hits in 6 at bats, 6 RBIs and 4 runs scored. The Cardinals won 16-7 behind Pujols ridiculous power surge. His playoff performance before tonight? 2 HR and 10 RBI. I guess you could say he’s still got it. Oh, and

the Cards now lead the World Series 2-1.During tonight’s World Series Game 3 (a 16-7 St. Louis victory), Albert Pujols joined those other two guys — whoever they are right? — in hitting 3 home runs in one World Series game (and also tied Paul Molitor with 5 hits in one World Series game). As much as it pains me to say it… congratulations — they were all hammered a country mile — not a cheap one in the bunch.Reporting from Arlington, Texas -- The World Series did more than simply change venues when it moved from frigid St. Louis to the heat of Texas for Game 3. It changed in character as well.

Because after splitting two pitchers' duels in Busch Stadium, the teams traded powerful body blows Saturday, and Albert Pujols landed the most devastating punches of all, homering three times in a 4-hour 4-minute slugfest won by the Cardinals, 16-7.

Result: Malaga 0-4 Real Madrid

Real Madrid routed Malaga 4-0 in their La Liga clash at La Rosaleda on Saturday evening as a first half blitz effectively ended the contest despite the home side's impressive second half performance.

Cristiano Ronaldo netted a hat-trick while Gonzalo Higuain was also on the scoresheet as the capital giants blew their hosts away with a blistering opening 45 minutes. Both sides had early shouts for penalties for fouls on first Ronaldo and then Malaga's Joaquin. Neither prompted a reaction from the referee Antonio Miguel Mateu Lahoz, however, despite the protests of players from both sides.

It was not long before Madrid took the lead. Higuain opened the scoring for the visitors with a cool finish from a tight angle after being played in by the impressive Angel Di Maria.

Los Blancos began to exert more and more pressure on the Malaga back-line and added a second goal after 24 minutes. Di Maria was the provider once more, this time for Ronaldo. After being found down the right-hand side, the Argentine cut back on to his favoured left foot before whipping a tantalising ball into the area which left the Portuguese with the simplest of finishes from five yards out.

Ronaldo made it 3-0 around the half-hour mark, dancing past a couple of Malaga players before dispatching a fine low strike from the edge of the area that gave Ruben in the Malaga goal no chance.

Barcelona 0-0 Sevilla: Messi misses late penalty as Catalans miss chance to go back top

Visiting goalkeeper Javi Varas was the star of the show as Barcelona and Sevilla played out a 0-0 draw at Camp Nou in La Liga this evening.

Barcelona dominated possession in the first half, and managed to create a few decent chances, but Sevilla goalkeeper Varas was the outstanding performer in the first half, pulling off numerous saves.

Sevilla gave Barcelona cause for concern in the 15th minute when Emiliano Armenteros attempted an opportunistic half volley from just inside the Barca box, which had Victor Valdes scrambling across his goal, but the ball went just by the post.Javi Varas was the star of the show as Barcelona and Sevilla played out a goalless draw at Camp Nou in La Liga this evening.

Liverpool 1-1 Norwich City

Liverpool were held by a resilient Norwich City side, for whom Grant Holt came off the bench to cancel out Craig Bellamy's first-half opener in a thrilling 1-1 Premier League draw at Anfield.
Kenny Dalglish named striker Bellamy for his first Premier League start since rejoining the club from Manchester City, with recovered captain Steven Gerrard

continuing in midfield. Paul Lambert kept faith with the side that beat Swansea a week previously, with Canaries skipper Holt forced to continue to settle for the bench. Finally at Liverpool, the big No9 was sent on from the bench to save his side's afternoon with the sort of powerful header in front of the Kop that would have made anyone from Tony Hateley to John Toshack proud.
\
Unfortunately for Anfield, it was not Andy Carroll. He only got on for the last 10 minutes and was just a spectator as the dramatic events unfolded. Norwich's Grant Holt, formerly of Barrow and Workington, was the second-half substitute who earned his side a notable point with his 55th goal for the club in 100 games. Liverpool could, and really should, have had the game wrapped up after creating a succession of chances, almost all of which fell to the normally deadly Luis Suárez. But the Uruguayan had an off day, while the more limited Norwich striker made the most of what little came his way.Liverpool lost ground on the top four as they were held to a draw by Norwich City at Anfield.
Kenny Dalglish's side hit the woodwork three times among several other chances but had only Craig Bellamy's late first-half goal against his former club to show for their efforts.
They were punished on the hour when Grant Holt headed home just three minutes after coming off the bench.

Pete Seeger and pals attend NYC protest action

Folk music legend Pete Seeger joined in the Occupy Wall Street protest Friday night, replacing his banjo with two canes as he marched with throngs of people in New York City's tony Upper West Side past banks and shiny department stores. The 92-year-old Seeger, accompanied by musician-grandson Tao Rodriguez Seeger, composer David Amram, and bluesman Guy Davis, shouted out a verse as the crowd of about 1,000 people sang and chanted.

They marched peacefully over more than 30 blocks from Symphony Space, where the Seegers and other musicians performed, to Columbus Circle. Police watched from the sidelines.

Tottenham 1-0 Rubin Kazan

A sensational first-half free-kick from Roman Pavlyuchenko put Tottenham top of Europa League Group A.

A much-changed Spurs side found it hard to settle against Rubin, who consistently threatened on the break.

However Russian Pavlyuchenko stunned his compatriots with an unstoppable 25-yard drive into the top corner.

Spurs goalkeeper Heurelho Gomes, making only his third start of the season, made a string of fine saves to earn his side an important victory.Tottenham Hotspur have still not lost since late August, an impressive run of form that reaches back to Manchester City's 5-1 win here and which now numbers nine games with a victory that takes them to the top of their Europa League group in a competition Harry Redknapp is hardly enamoured with.

Redknapp emerged from the Luka Modric to Chelsea saga in the summer still hanging on to the Croatian playmaker and with a side he rates as stronger than the one that powered Tottenham into the Champions League for the first time two seasons ago.

The arrival of Scott Parker and Emmanuel Adebayor strengthened midfield and attack but with the Premier League title still surely beyond the club's reach Redknapp may well be wondering where his first trophy for Spurs will come from as he enters a fourth year in charge at White Hart Lane.

Muammar Gaddafi killed in Sirte

Libya's transitional government forces have taken full control of Sirte, the last city where Gaddafi loyalists had remained holed up, fighters and reporters say.

Soldiers hoisted the new NTC national flag on buildings in the centre of Col Muammar Gaddafi's hometown.
Captured image: A mobile phone picture, purporting to be that of wounded leader Muammar Gaddafi, was circulated shortly after the news of his capture broke
Unconfirmed reports quote officials as saying Col Gaddafi was captured there.

His supporters are still resisting government forces in the town of Bani Walid, south-east of Tripoli.Colonel Ahmed Bani, the military spokesman of the National Transition Council, has confirmed to Al Jazeera that Muammar Gaddafi has been killed.

Abdul Hakim Belhaj, an NTC military chief, said Gaddafi had died of his wounds after being captured near his hometown Sirte.

The body of the former Libyan leader was taken to a location which is being kept secret for security reasons, an NTC official said. His killing, which came swiftly after his capture near Sirte, is the most dramatic single development in the Arab Spring revolts that have unseated rulers in Egypt and Tunisia and threatened the grip on power of the leaders of Syria and Yemen.

"He (Gaddafi) was also hit in his head," National Transitional Council official Abdel Majid Mlegta told Reuters. "There was a lot of firing against his group and he died."Slumped against the bloodied legs of a revolutionary fighter, this is the picture which Libyan rebels say confirms that deposed leader Muammar Gaddafi has been killed.

The former Libyan dictator was reportedly found cowering in a hole in the ground at the centre of Sirte, after rebels moved through the seaside town during their final assault.

Fighter Mohammed Al Bibi told reporters that the toppled tyrant had pleaded 'Don't shoot, don't shoot' as he attempted to surrender.

Robin Dutt André Schürrle Leverkusen Champions League 2011 - 0
Valencia led at the interval with a goal by Jonas but Andre Schuerrle levelled with a thundering drive in the 52nd minute and Sidney Sam snatched the winner in the 56th to secure Leverkusen's first win over a Spanish side in the last eight attempts.

The result leaves the 2002 Champions League finalists in second spot on six points, one behind leaders Chelsea who crushed Belgium's Racing Genk.Though some amateur defending allowed Jonas to give the Spaniards a narrow lead heading into the break, the home side had the heroics of goalkeeper Bernd Leno to thank for the scoreline not being greater.

And the Werkself came out for the second period a completely different outfit, turning the fixture on its head with a pair of quickfire goals from Andre Schuerrle and Sidney Sam.

The victory puts Leverkusen second in Group E behind Chelsea, who ran out 5-0 winners at home to Genk, with a four-point margin now opened up between Valencia and the German side.

Chelsea 5 Racing Club Genk 0: match report

The Champions League is not supposed to serve up mismatches as resounding as this. Chelsea juggled their first-team options, allowing the likes of John Terry, Juan

Mata and Didier Drogba a breather up in the stands, but still strolled to their biggest home win in this competition and hardly broke into a sweat in the process. Life among Europe's elite should never feel this comfortable.Chelsea fans turned up but the opposition did not. For all the talk of a boycott over ticket prices, the Bridge was practically full to see Chelsea record their biggest home win in the Champions League, destroying Belgian visitors who resembled not so much minnows as plankton.

This was a night to worry about the quality of some sides who dine at the top table of European football but it was also an evening to feast the eyes on the quality of some of Chelsea’s passing, moving and finishing. The Chelsea fans who formed the majority of the 38,518 crowd loved it.

So let's recap what went down in the world of Android yesterday.

At Motorola's New York City event, the company had two products to show. First up was MotoActv, a watch-like device that's all about fitness. It plays music to help motivate you, sure, but it also tracks your heart rate and how far you've walked, run or biked. On-board GPS will keep you from getting lost during those hikes in the woods (as well as keeping tabs on your daily routes). There's a website component (motoactv.com) to monitor your improvements and do the usual social stuff. You can add a wireless headset, too. An 8 GB model is $249 and 16 GB goes for $299.

Soccer Monarcas Morelia - Alajuelense Game Result and Goals

Newt Gingrich Under Your Mistletoe? Merry Caucus Campaign, Iowa!

Republican presidential hopefuls tore into former Bay State Gov. Mitt Romney last night, using a Boston Herald column to blast the signature Massachusetts health-care plan he signed into law during a fiery Las Vegas showdown that offered the toughest test the top-tier candidate has faced to date.

Former U.S. House Speaker Newt Gingrich cited a column that ran in the Boston Herald yesterday as proof that Romney’s health-care reform — so-called Romneycare — is costly and flawed.GOP candidates, Newt Gingrich and Rick Santorum, used the CNN debate as the chance to resurrect their struggling campaigns by striking hard at the one topic that former Massachusetts governor Mitt Romney remains weak on: his state’s healthcare plan.

The seven (former Utah governor Jon Huntsman boycotted the debate because of Nevada pushing up it’s primary date and denying New Hampshire’s first-in-the-nation primary status) GOP presidential hopefuls took the stage in Las Vegas hoping to gain a surge in the polls before the longest break of the debate season begins. The latest CNN poll has Gov. As one admirer put it in a July 2009 blog post, "If Gundersen's approach was used to care for the approximately 4.5 million Medicare beneficiaries who die every year, Medicare could save more than $33 billion a year."

That admirer? Newt Gingrich. The former House Speaker had close knowledge of Gundersen's approach: in 2006, the father of his wife Callista passed away at Gundersen after a battle with lung cancer. Gingrich has been open about how well the hospital handled his father-in-law's end of life care. "What they create is a family relationship in a difficult period so that the families up being very satisfied," he said in an April 2009 article in the Columbia (Mo.) Daily Tribune. "The families feel there was dignity, there was dialogue, people were collectively doing something."

Carson Palmer traded to Raiders for first-round pick, future considerations

After insisting that he would not trade quarterback Carson Palmer(notes) under any circumstances, even after Palmer threatened to retire rather than play for the his team, Cincinnati Bengals owner " "Mike Brown was finally ready to bend on that issue at the 11th hour. According to a Tuesday report by Fox Sports' Jay Glazer, Brown had been talking with the Oakland Raiders about a trade that would send Palmer to the Raiders for a first-round draft pick in 2012 and a conditional first-round pick in 2013. The trade has subseqently been confirmed by ESPN's Chris Mortensen, and it will happen just before the 1:00 PM PT trade deadline. According to Peter King of Sports Illustrated, Palmer is in the Bay Area getting the physical that will seal the deal.

On Tuesday morning, Shutdown Corner spoke with Travelle Gaines of Athletes Performance in Carson, Calif., where Palmer has been working out for months. As it turns out, Gaines — who also works with the Raiders in an advisory capacity — was the man the Raiders leaned on to find out what kind of football shape Palmer was in. "He looks great — he's been throwing every day, and working with Ken O'Brien, the quarterbacks coach,"

Canon EOS 1D X Press Release – Pre Announcement Thread

The new Canon EOS-1D Mark II is the successor to the Canon EOS-1D which was announced and introduced at the end of 2001. This new generation of digital SLR almost doubles resolution with its new eight megapixel CMOS sensor, doubles the size of the continuous shooting buffer. Despite the advertised 8.5 fps the EOS-1D Mark II actually shoots at a maximum of 8.3 fps (the same as the EOS-1D).

The EOS-1D Mark II is also obviously Canon's answer to Nikon's fast shooting D2H announced last year, it does appear however as though Canon are raising the bar with resolution and one would hope we can expect similar low noise performance from its CMOS sensor as we have seen from the same technology in the EOS 10D.

Putting the additional resolution and buffer size to one side there are also a variety of improvements and changes compared to the EOS-1D, not least of which a new version of Canon's DIGIC image processor, an extension of selectable ISO sensitivity, support for Secure Digital as well as Compact Flash and the addition of a USB port (although only USB 1.1). The SD slot and USB connector are interesting additions as they may hint towards potential future add-ons for this camera such as a wireless kit (pure speculation on my part at this stage).

VIDEO: 2YR OLD Chinese Girl Ruthlessly Run Over Twice - pedestrians do nothing to help her

2YR OLD Chinese Girl Ruthlessly Run Over Twice - pedestrians do nothing to help her
As a Muslim, I was raised to care for humanity and had to share this video, even thought it's very disturbing. All that came to my mind: What is this world coming to....

This is not a race issue, it's an issue regarding the society people live in. This is a human rights watch. This incident happened to take place in China, but it doesn't mean all Chinese are blind to the sanctity of life. Please don't make it a race issue. May God Bless the child's soul.

I believe people didn't help because in a similar case of a man helping a woman who fell down, he was prosecuted for doing that. People must have had fear of helping the little child, but it's still no excuse of letting her bleed on the floor like that. Even animals shouldn't be treated like this. Who knew out of all the people, a trash collector came to the child's rescue; God bless her soul. I hope this opens people's eyes and shows them that we need reform.

WARNING: VIEWER DISCRETION IS ADVISED; VERY GRAPHIC CONTENT

More than a dozen passers-by ignored a two-year-old girl as she lay critically injured on a street in southern China after being run over twice, the official Xinhua news agency said Monday.
The incident has sparked outrage on China's hugely popular social media sites.
Surveillance cameras showed a series of people walk past the girl, named Yue Yue, after she was hit first by a van and then a truck outside her family's shop in the southern Chinese city of Foshan.
Xinhua said a rubbish collector who finally came to the girl's aid, moving her to the curb and shouting for help, was ignored by several shopkeepers before he finally tracked down her mother who took her to hospital.
In response, one netizen on Sina Weibo, a Chinese micro-blog similar to Twitter, wrote: "This society is seriously ill. Even cats and dogs shouldn't be treated so heartlessly."

But others linked the incident to an earlier case in which a man who tried to help an elderly woman after she fell over was prosecuted, apparently because his intervention broke government rules on dealing with accident victims.
Doctors said Yue Yue was in a coma and unlikely to survive the ordeal.
"She would not be able to survive any operations. She's very close to brain death," a spokesman for the hospital treating her told AFP.

IndyCar racing fires on all cylinders at Kentucky event

By Jim Peltz

October 16, 2011, 8:35 p.m.
Veteran driver Dan Wheldon, who won the Indianapolis 500 for the second time this year, died from injuries suffered Sunday when his car was entangled in a horrific 15-car wreck early in the IndyCar series' season-ending race at Las Vegas Motor Speedway. The Englishman was 33.

As the 34-car field moved through the first turn of Lap 11 on the 1.5-mile oval track at speeds of more than 200 mph, Wheldon was running 25th when cars began spinning in front of him.

As the cars piled up in an instant, Wheldon's No. 77 car slammed into another car in front of his and went airborne before crashing into the fence in Turn 2 and briefly catching fire, video replays showed.

Simultaneously, the car driven by championship contender Will Power also went airborne, others briefly caught fire as they crashed and debris was sprayed in all directions.

After Wheldon was airlifted to a nearby hospital, Randy Bernard, chief executive of the Izod IndyCar Series, announced his death "from unsurvivable injuries." Wheldon is survived by his wife, Susie, and two young sons.

"I just feel for his family," a tearful Danica Patrick, who is leaving the IndyCar series after this year for NASCAR stock car racing, told a television audience. "He'll be missed."

It was the first on-track fatality in IndyCar racing since 2006, when Paul Dana was killed in a practice crash at Homestead-Miami Speedway in Florida.

Three other drivers — Power, J.R. Hildebrand and Pippa Mann — also reportedly were taken to the hospital for evaluation. There was no immediate word on their condition.

The rest of the race was canceled. But the remaining drivers held a somber salute to Wheldon by climbing back into their cars and, lined up three wide, slowly circled the track for five laps.

As they did so, fans in the grandstands stood and dozens of race-team personnel and safety workers walked to the edge of pit road facing the track, many of them wiping away tears. A bagpipes version of "Amazing Grace" played on the speedway speaker system.

"It is hard to put into words how sad this is for all of us," said three-time Indy 500 winner Helio Castroneves. "On the track we compete, but at the end of the day we are like a big family and today we lost a part of that."

Indianapolis Motor Speedway President Jeff Belskus said "we are incredibly saddened," adding that Wheldon was "a fantastic husband, father and man — a good friend to so many in this sport."

Five months ago Wheldon had stunned the motor racing world by winning the speedway's famed Indy 500 after Hildebrand, who appeared to have the race won, crashed into the wall on the final lap.

It was Wheldon's first race of the season because, despite winning 15 IndyCar races up to that point and capturing the series' 2005 championship — the same year in which he won his first Indy 500 — Wheldon had been unable to secure a full-time ride this year.

Wheldon's fateful race in Las Vegas also came about via unusual circumstances. He agreed to be the driver in a challenge whereby he would start at the rear of the field and, if he won, split $5 million with a fan.

Wheldon raced two weeks ago at Kentucky Speedway as a warmup for the Las Vegas race.

A stylish dresser and a superstitious racer — he tapped his car on the nose three times before climbing in — Wheldon also was a student of racing history and had made appearances as a TV racing analyst this year when he wasn't driving.

Wheldon revered the Indy 500 in particular, and shed tears after winning the 100th anniversary race again in May and kneeling to kiss the yard of bricks at the track's finish line.

The Las Vegas crash was one of the worst seen in IndyCar racing in recent memory, both in terms of its violence and the number of cars involved.

Although there have been significant advances in safety in recent years, including so-called SAFER energy-absorbing walls and head-and-neck restraints for drivers, the wreck Sunday again underlined the ever-present danger of a sport in which the cars are racing at such high speeds.

Wheldon and others were averaging 220 mph or faster in their practice sessions at Las Vegas.

"I've never seen anything like it," driver Ryan Briscoe said of the deadly accident. "The debris we all had to drive through the lap later, it looked like a war scene from 'Terminator' or something."

Because the race was canceled, Dario Franchitti — who entered the race with an 18-point lead over Power in the title standings— won his third consecutive IndyCar championship and fourth overall.

Australia v New Zealand - Live

G'day. So, is this the real final? No team has ever been beaten on the way to winning the World Cup. Australia have never lost to New Zealand in a World Cup. One of those facts is going to change in the next two hours.

What it all means is that New Zealand is a very edgy place to be right now. Everything from Quade Cooper to the kick-off time (9pm local time) is causing huge

levels of anxiety across both islands. Merely mention Dan carter's name and even the most reserved individual will drop to the floor, beating the fist on the ground, screaming "why, why, why". Rangers slugger Nelson Cruz wins ALCS MVP

Move over, Reggie, Babe and all other October sluggers. Nobody has ever had a postseason power surge like Nelson Cruz just did in the AL championship series. With a two-run homer Saturday night, Cruz upped his ALCS totals to six homers and 13 RBIs — both major league records for a postseason series. The numbers will hold, too, because his Texas Rangers beat the Detroit Tigers 15-5 in Game 6 to advance to the World Series for the second straight year.Nelson Cruz and the Texas Rangers are headed to their second straight World Series, finishing off the Detroit Tigers to become the American League's first repeat champion in a decade.

Cruz set a postseason record with his sixth home run of the series, Michael Young hit a pair of two-run doubles in a nine-run third inning, and the Rangers romped to a 15-5 win Saturday night that won the AL pennant in six games.

They'll open the World Series on Wednesday night at St. Louis or Milwaukee, seeking the first title in the history of a franchise that started play in 1961.Game 6 tonight at 7:05. Derek Holland versus Max Scherzer. If the Rangers win, we're going back to the World Series. Lose, and we have Game 7 tomorrow.

While it would have been nice to close it out in Detroit, that would have been something of an upset...I remember seeing very few "Texas in 4/Texas in 5" predictions. When I was on the Replacement Level Podcast earlier this week, I said I thought the Rangers would lose game 3, take game 4, then fall to Verlander in game 5 before winning game 6 at home to finish the Tigers off.

Skydiving sex stunt could land pilot in hot water.

The Federal Aviation Administration says it will look into a videotaped skydiving sex stunt to determine if the pilot might have been distracted during the incident over Kern County.

FAA spokesman Ian Gregor says any activity that could distract the pilot while he's flying could be a violation of federal regulations.

Skydive Taft owner David Chrouch says he fired part-time skydiving instructor and porn star Alex Torres and hasn't decided whether to fire the company's receptionist, Hope Howell, who he said was Torres' partner in the video.

The video shows the two having sex in a plane before jumping out in tandem and continuing the act midair.

NBC station KGET-TV in Bakersfield reported that Chrouch said that Torres put the stunt together in an attempt to get the attention of Howard Stern. "Apparently they told my pilot it was OK to do this. And got here early in the morning before anyone got here and shot this," Chrouch told KGET.

Authorities say Torres had posted the video on his blog but removed it on Monday. Chrouch said he found out about the stunt when a Taft police officer told him that the video was making the rounds at a local school.

Taft police Lt. Ed Whiting told KGET-TV that no criminal charges are pending.

At one point in the video the couple is shown seated in a jump seat right next to the pilot.

"No I wasn't concerned," Chrouch told KGET. "He was in complete control of the plane at all times. I mean he looked back a couple of times. The same thing he does if there are other skydivers in the plane. He is going to look back, he's going to look around to see what everyone is doing."

Cleanup of Zuccotti Park Is Postponed

This post has been updated. An earlier version incorrectly stated that city officials canceled the cleanup. Zuccotti Park is privately owned and decisions about its cleanup are made by Brookfield Properties.
At Zucotti Park in lower Manhattan where Occupy wall st protesters get news City postponed cleanup of the park.
Despite city officials announcing a planned cleanup of Zuccotti Park had been canceled, some violence bubbled up in lower Manhattan on Friday morning.

After the private owners granted the protesters reprieve from an order to leave the park, some protesters chose to march through the streets in celebration. Police asked protesters to stay on the sidewalk, The cleanup of the Lower Manhattan park that has been occupied by protesters for nearly a month was postponed Friday shortly before it was supposed to begin, averting a feared showdown between the police and demonstrators, who had vowed to resist any efforts to evict them from their encampment.

But sporadic clashes between protesters and the police erupted anyway when demonstrators started marching through the winding streets of the financial district after learning that the cleanup had been called off. At least 14 were arrested, the police say.On Thursday evening, a couple dozen Occupy Wall Street protesters in Zuccotti Park grabbed brooms and buckets and set about sweeping up the site. For the last two days, they had begun to work harder than usual to keep the park clean and attractive, putting their brooms to work, filling up buckets of water at nearby restaurants and even, according to

Steve Wozniak first in line as Apple's iPhone 4S goes on sale

Steve Wozniak likes to be the first person in line to buy the latest Apple products. This evening, the Apple co-founder and designer of the Apple I and II, was #1 on line outside the Apple store in Los Gatos, California to get the iPhone 4S. He tweeted about it and he’ll be staying up all night. TechCrunch TV caught up with Woz and asked him why he does it. He explains what feature the new phone has that will change his life. Woz also tells us why “search engines should be replaced by answer engines.” Nice to see Steve Wozniak being a true blue gentleman, waiting in line patiently just like everyone else for the iPhone 4S before it is released to the masses. Woz’s Twitter account placed him first in line at the Los Gatos Apple Store, where he tweeted, “The long wait begins. I’m first in line. The guy ahead was on the wrong side and he’s pissed.” I guess it always pays to be aware of the surroundings before you plant your rear end and lay claim to pole position – which might not be in the place that you’d like. Woz took his Segway there, and he’s obviously keeping himself occupied with a white iPad 2 in tow.

When director Craig Brewer (who we talked to here), and dancers Julianne Hough and Kenny Wormald set out to remake the 1984 classic film Footloose, it seemed like a project that was bound to fail from the beginning. The original still held up as a coming of age story in a small town in the US where dancing, among other social activities, had been outlawed after five teenagers were killed in a car accident. Kevin Bacon’s film career had been launched by the film and it seemed like there was no one who could fill his burgundy blazer. You would never have known looking at the perfect dancing of former Las Vegas Academy artists Derek Hough and sister Julianne Hough on Tuesday’s Dancing With the Stars that he whirled her around the ballroom with a dislocated shoulder. He’d sustained the injury during rehearsals with partner Ricki Lake.

THEY became a YouTube sensation after their adorable performance of Nicki Minaj's Super Bass went viral earlier this month.

And yesterday little Sophia Grace Brownlee, 8, and her cousin Rosie Grace McClelland, 5, from Essex, England, got the surprise of their lives during an appearance on The Ellen DeGeneres Show.

The talk show host introduced the pair, who were both dressed in their now famous pink ballerina outfits and tiaras, to their idol after they performed a lively rendition of her hit song.

Sophia Grace, who wowed the crowd with her impressive vocals, squealed with delight as the pop star emerged from backstage.

She immediately jumped into the singer's arms and threw her arms around her.

Rosie, who dances and offers support while her old cousin sings, also gave her a hug.

DeGeneres then gave them Nicki inspired wigs, microphones and necklaces to complete their look.

The star then joined her little fans for another rendition of the song.

The pop star said she was so impressed when she first saw the clip, which has now been viewed more than eight million times.

"Within five seconds of seeing this video I was calling everyone," the 28-year-old said.

"I was also receiving a billion emails. Everyone was like 'you have to see this little girl'. She blew me away. I have a hype man and you have a hype girl."

She added: "I said 'superstar'. Seriously, we are watching a journey that’s about to be amazing."

She told Sophia: "You are incredible. I just want you to stay in school. Music is beautiful but stay in school ok. Put your books first and singing second."
