Villarreal 0-2 Bayern Munich: Bundesliga giants stroll to victory at El Madrigal

Toni Kroos opened the scoring after just seven minutes, and substitute Rafinha, who replaced the injured Daniel Van Buyten midway through the first half, put the game out of reach in the 76th minute.

Goals by Toni Kroos and Rafinha guided Bayern Munich to a comfortable victory at Villarreal in their opening match in Group A of the Champions League.
Kroos opened the scoring in the seventh minute, with Rafinha sealing victory with a little under 15 minutes remaining in a match the Bundesliga side controlled after a lively start by both sides.
It was an ideal start to the European campaign for the Germans who also top their domestic league but an early blow for Villarreal coach Juan Carlos Garrido, in a group also featuring Napoli and Manchester City.An early Toni Kroos strike set Bayern Munich up for a convincing 2-0 win over Villarreal on Wednesday as they look to assert themselves in the Champions League group of death.

With Manchester City and Napoli also in Group A they are all set to be tough matches and no side can afford to drop points.

Bayern got off to the perfect start with Kroos firing home after six minutes and they never looked back in a commanding performance from the Germans.

They had a series of chances in the second half to finish off Villarreal before substitute Rafinha secured the win with 15 minutes left.
