Travel Channel show taking on haunted nature of Lizzie Borden house

Anyone who went through a phase in junior high and read every book they could find on the subject has an opinion on the case of Lizzie Borden.

The Fall River, Massachusetts spinster was accused of killing her father and stepmother with a hatchet in 1860. Borden was acquitted but that didn't keep her from being found guilty in popular opinion and a childrens rhyme endures:With Halloween just a week away, Lizzie Borden is a hot topic on the Travel Channel.

The Travel Channel’s “Ghost Adventures” will air “The Lizzie Borden House,” Saturday, Oct. 22, at noon; Friday, Oct. 28, at 8 p.m.; and Saturday, Oct. 29, at 3 p.m.

According to the Travel Channel, show hosts Zak, Nick and Aaron will investigate the Lizzie Borden House to reveal the truth behind the axe murders that occurred more than a century ago. The lockdown will take a turn for the worse when Nick and Zak are overwhelmed with unknown aggression.Today is the day! After years of waiting, Parallel Lives: A Social History of Lizzie A. Borden and Her Fall River is now available for sale.
